This project required the controlled dismantling of a large residential tree in a Hamilton backyard with limited access on all sides. Surrounded by a garage, fences, garden beds, and a neighbouring shed, the tree could not be felled from the ground. Every section had to be climbed, cut, and lowered with full control. A single dropped piece would have meant damage to the property. The work was completed at the Premium tier with full rigging, controlled lowering, and complete site cleanup.

The property featured a tight residential backyard with no machine access from any side. Multiple structures sat directly under the tree, including a garage, fence line, garden beds, and a neighbouring shed. The tree itself had reached a point where removal was the responsible choice. The challenge was executing that removal without damaging anything around it.
Our approach focused on full control of every cut. By climbing the tree and setting rigging anchors high in the canopy, we were able to lower each section with intention rather than relying on gravity. The pace was slower than a typical removal because the level of control was higher. Every move was planned before it was made.
The tree could not be felled from the ground. It was surrounded by non-movable structures on every side, including a garage, fence, garden beds, and a neighbouring shed under the canopy.
We climbed and rigged the tree from above, tying off each branch and trunk section before cutting. Friction devices were used to control the descent of every piece, and a small drop zone was established for the final sections. Site protection remained part of the scope throughout the work.
The tree was removed safely within the scheduled work period. No property damage. No impact to the fence, shed, garden, or surrounding hardscape. The homeowner regained safe usable space in the backyard, and the site was left clean and clear. The project was completed at the Premium tier where precision matters more than speed.
